The best Profound alternatives in 2026: 7 AI visibility platforms compared

Looking past Profound's enterprise agent suite? Seven alternatives ranked on engine coverage, published pricing, crawler logs, and traffic attribution, from dedicated platforms to budget trackers.

Profound is well known in AI search, and its Prompt Volumes dataset is genuinely useful. But the product has moved. It now sells itself as enterprise marketing agents for AEO, content, demand, and PR, and after a 7-day trial (50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews) the real product is Enterprise with custom pricing, estimated at around $40k a year.

If the budget doesn't fit, or you want a dedicated AI search platform rather than a broad agent suite, you'll want alternatives. The same goes if you need data Profound doesn't publish, like AI crawler logs and attribution of AI visits to conversions.

We build one of the alternatives, so we rank ourselves first and explain why. Everything about the other tools comes from their published plans as recorded in our tool notes.

What to look for in a Profound alternative

  • Focus. A platform built for AI search, not one channel among many.
  • Engine coverage without Enterprise gates. Profound's wider engine list sits on Enterprise.
  • Crawler and traffic data. The two things that explain visibility changes and justify budget.
  • A way to start. Published pricing, a trial, or a demo on your own prompts.

1. VisibilyRanking

VisibilyRanking is built only for AI search. It tracks prompts by topic, persona, and country across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, Meta AI, and Google AI Overviews. Citation analytics shows the pages and domains behind each answer. Crawler logs from your CDN or host show what AI bots fetched and where they failed, and a small script ties AI-referred visits to signups and sales. A content agent drafts pages for the prompts you're losing into a review inbox.

Like Profound, there's no self-serve signup: you start with a demo, and pricing is quoted afterwards based on brands, prompts, and markets. Unlike Profound, the whole product is about AI search.

2. Promptwatch

Promptwatch covers the same ground as VisibilyRanking and is the pick if you want to start self-serve. It runs all its tracked models on every paid plan and adds prompt search volumes and query fan-outs, which partly fills the gap Profound's Prompt Volumes leaves. Plans run from a free Explore tier to Essential ($95/mo), Professional ($245/mo), and Business ($579/mo).

3. AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ is the most action-oriented option: an Action Center with assignable tasks, automated schema and entity tagging, and GA4, Shopify, and Webflow revenue attribution. Starter is $295/mo for 3,600 credits (one per AI response) across 11 models. Personas and multi-region support are on Enterprise.

4. Scrunch AI

Scrunch's AXP serves AI-optimized versions of your pages directly to crawlers. Core is $250/mo for 125 prompts, 5,000 responses a month, one brand workspace, four LLMs, and bot traffic reporting. AXP and the full nine-LLM list are on Enterprise.

5. Goodie AI

Goodie is content-first: it grades pages for AI extractability, suggests specific edits, and tracks citation lift after changes. Core is $295/mo for five models, 110 prompts, one brand, two countries, and 50 optimizations a month, with unlimited seats. Pro ($999/mo) adds more models and countries plus SKU-level agentic commerce visibility. Revenue attribution is on Enterprise.

6. Conductor

If you're leaving Profound for an enterprise suite rather than a smaller tool, Conductor puts AI answer visibility next to SEO metrics, content briefs, and approval workflows. Prices aren't published; Growth includes 2,500 AI search credits a year.

7. LLM Pulse

The budget option. Starter is €49/mo for 50 prompts and five engines, with unlimited seats and an MCP server on every plan. Tracking is weekly by default.

How to decide

If you liked Profound's depth but not its shape, look at the top two first. They're the only options here that combine tracking with crawler logs and conversion attribution. If your main need is page edits, try Goodie. If it's budget, LLM Pulse.

To see how your category looks outside Profound, book a VisibilyRanking demo. Bring the prompts you were tracking and we'll run them across all eight engines.
